School

Hej,

Sorry I haven't posted in so long. It's just that I recently started school and Swedish schools give sooo much homework. Actually I don't get any at all except from my Swedish lessons. I've been busy working out at the gym here in Tibro, two days ago I did kick boxing with Carrow and Malin and this guy from our school. The girls in my class, all three, have been really great, they are always doing things with me and they protect me from the boys in our class. The first week of school has been really awesome because of them. I would have been so lonely without them because the boys never talk to me. They just now started saying hi to me when they see me at school. Today I started talking to Carrow in Swedish and all the boys cheered so maybe now that they know I can say somethings and understand others they will finally talk to me. They are so fun though. They always quote family guy and the simpsons and when we are supposed to be doing work in class they are always playing world of warcraft on the computer. They are all just big computer nerds at heart. I think my favorite part of school is school lunch. It is free and usually taste pretty good. Today we had lasagna which was a little salty, but I liked it anyway and tomorrow we get pizza, there is usually a more traditional option as well. Today the traditional food was puttipanna, but I ate that last night for supper so I chose lasagna. Tomorrow I think the only option is pizza but that's okay because I haven't had pizza since I've been here so I'm excited. On Wednesdays we always have soup. Yesterday I ate gulash for lunch. I really liked it. There is also a salad bar that you get to take from and you take as much of everything as you want. It is both good and bad, good because I like to eat, but bad because I might start stress eating if I get homesick. I was homesick earlier this week, but I've become friends with a Brazilian exchange student who is here and I think that makes me feel better because we are both in the same situation. Soon the girl from Brazil, her name is Elisa, will move across the street from me so we'll be able to do more together. Today we fickad together, ficka is Swedish for basically a coffee break, but you always eat a sandwich or cake with your coffee. Next weekend Elisa, Carolina and I might go to Gotteborg to go shopping and to Carolina's favorite all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet. Carow said we'd go shopping before we ate or else we'd be a size bigger. I love Swedish people, they are always eating. Tomorrow we are going to a food festival in Skovde, I'm really excited. Then on Saturday I am going to my host cousin's wedding. It is going to be so interesting. Then on Sunday we are going water skiing at my host aunt's summer house on a lake near Tibro. I should probably go do my Swedish homework seeing as I have a packed weekend. I'll keep you updated on the lunch menu.

Hej da

Those pictures are amazing. It is good to hear that you are keeping busy and in shape, I just exercise for the first time a few days ago and almost died.
