Oh good golly it has started to get cold here. And dark. It doesn't actually get that cold here in the winter. I was talking to my friend here and she said the average winter temperature is around minus 5 so it won't be that bad. Except even though it isn't actually colder here it feels colder because everywhere you go in this country is like an hour away from the ocean on both sides so it is humid. The humidity makes it so you can feel the cold in your bones, like an old person. I've already had to start wearing pants and socks. My farmor, my host dad's mom, knitted me these awesome, colourful socks that are so warm and I wear all the time. I think they've started to smell, but I don't care because they are warm. It is also starting to get darker. My host mom said that in the winter it will be dark at 4 in the afternoon. At least I get out of school most days at 2 so then I'll have 2 hours of dusk.
Yesterday I went to Göteborg with Erika, Malin, Carow and Elisa. It was fun because we did a lot of shopping, but I would have liked to have seen more of Göteborg than just the mall, but we are going with the class next week to study arcitecture so I'll get to stare at lots of old buildings then. Right outside of the mall there were Nazis, it was kind of scary because we had to walk right past them to get to the Chinese food restuarant. At first they were just standing there with their flags, and there were anti-nazis on the other side holding their banner and the police were standing in the middle, but when we came back after eating Chinese food the NAzis and anti-nazis were yelling at each other. The Nazis were yelling "keep Sweden Swedish" and the anti-nazis were yelling "no racists on our streets." They were there for a really long time. After we had finished shopping we went for a walk to look at some of Göteborg and when we got back they were still there yelling and the police were still in between, but another group of Iranians I think had joined the demonstration, but I'm not really sure why they were there. Anyways, the girls said that it isn't a common thing and that that was actually the first time they had seen them in real life. My host parents said that they have never seen them in person either. But I have to tell you about the Chinese food we had in Göteborg. It is Carow's favorite and boy was it an experience. It is cool to see how different countries represent each other's food. It was a buffet of rice, noodles and a variety of deep fried animals. Fish balls, chicken balls and shrimp balls. There was also shrimp chips and a curried dish, but it was neat to see at least. I think next time I'm in Göteborg I am going to try the Sushi.
Oh on Friday I went to my Rotary counsellor's church's youth group. They had a mini food festival. It was fun because we ate and played games, but it was outside and there were tons of misquitos. We ate hamburgers and craw fish and PeO said that we are going to have a crawfish party and catch them from the river in town. The games we played were fun too. We shot a target with paint balls, pulled a car, threw whipped cream at a maniquin head and other things. Then they set up a pretend talk show to interview their new youth minister. Elisa and I left half way through that because I couldn't understand anything and we had to get up at 6:45 the next morning to go to Göteborg. But it was fun and before I went to the choir and they sang only english songs. It was really fun though. I think I'll go to Amy's old choir. Tomorrow I start music in school.
I have to go now though because I think my host brother needs the computer to finish writing his new song.

Sounds like a great week. Indian Chinese is good too. That sucks about the getting dark so early but you will get used to it. That is really weird about the Nazi's, there are those swastikas all over India because here it is good luck.
